Although florals are usually ubiquitous for the Spring/Summer seasons, it seems designers can’t get enough - this Autumn/Winter 2012, statement florals are taking over. Some of the most attention grabbing designs for the upcoming season feature bold floral prints, embroidery or appliqué. Gone were the standard sun-dresses and in their place were intricately beaded sweaters as seen at Balmain, delicate sheer gowns by Valentino and rich opulent cross-stitched patterned dresses on the catwalk at Dolce & Gabbana.

Often paired with a dark lip, long leather black gloves or towering heels, florals were toughened up with vampy accessories, made modern and artistic with the use of digital prints, and given an opulent touch with lavish gold jewels.

"I wanted a show that defined the McQ woman and the world she lives in. I didn’t want it to feel like a second line,Just because it’s a cheaper price point doesn’t mean you can’t have a special coat or a beautifully cut jacket. You buy clothes because you love them and you want have them."
